Three main factors for a delicious cup of coffee:
1. A variety of coffee or a blend of freshly roasted coffee beans (Robusta, Arabica or Author's coffee blends from Mammy Coffee ™);
2. Size and uniformity of grinding of freshly roasted coffee beans;
3. Time of contact between water and ground coffee.
The coarser the coffee is ground, the slower the extraction will take place, which forms the coffee taste.
The coarse grind is suitable for long-term brewing of a coffee drink.
The finer the grinding, the faster the extraction takes place.
Fine grinding is suitable for the fastest brewing.
Regardless of the size of the grind - the grind should be as homogeneous as possible!
DEGREES OF GRINDING OF COFFEE BEANS.
1. Turkish grind or fine espresso - the finest (very fine grind), with possible adhesion of the ground particles.
This is the ideal grind for making excellent coffee in a copper or ceramic turk.
We recommend using this type of grinding for our Robusta single varieties (for example, Coffee in beans "Chocolate" and Coffee in beans "Morning") and for blends based on Robusta.
2. Grind Espresso - fine grind with fewer coarser particles. Perfect grinding of coffee beans for preparing a drink in an Espresso machine.
We recommend using our mono-varieties of Arabica (for example, Coffee in beans "Exclusive" and Coffee in beans "Middey"), Robusta blends or Arabica blends.
3. Grind Fine Filter or Filter - coffee particles are slightly smaller than sugar granules but coarser than for espresso.
This coffee grind is suitable for making a drink in a drip method, in a geyser coffee maker.
We recommend using our mono-varieties of Arabica (for example, Coffee in beans "Light" and Coffee in beans "Pinotage") and Arabica blends.
4. Grinding Coarse Filter - optimal for brewing coffee, particles the size of granules of sea salt.
Suitable for a French press or cold brew.
Our recommendation is mono-varieties of Arabica (for example, Coffee in beans "Evening" and Coffee in beans "Chillout") and Arabica blends.
Coffee grinding is carried out on a professional CUNILL ™ coffee grinder using titanium millstones!
